Falling is always just something you hear about until you have a family member or friend, who is elderly, actually fall him/herself. Falling is a serious cause of injury and death amongst those who are elderly. *One of out five falls causes serious injury and, in 2013, 25,464 deaths, among adults aged ≥65, were attributed to unintentional falls.
