C. Joette Martin, a Paralegal at the Elder & Disability Advocacy Firm of Christine A. Alsop, LLC, joined the firm in July of 2016. She graduated cum laude from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Sociology. In 2003, she earned her paralegal certification from Meramec Community College.

Since 2003, Joette has worked as a paralegal for both plaintiff and defense firms. Her experience includes a variety of legal fields including Medicaid planning, probate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, litigation, Workers’ Compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability.

In 2017, Joette’s husband, Bear, passed away due to complications associated with younger-onset Alzheimer’s. Dealing with Bear’s disease gave Joette a new compassion for clients going though similar challenges. She values this opportunity to help and support them on their journey.
